The 2024 Untangodo Sky Race is scheduled for June 14-16

The 2024 Untangodo Sky Race, now in its 8th year, will be held from June 14th to 16th over a three-day, two-night schedule at the High1 Resort located in Jeongseon County, Gangwon Province. The Untangodo Sky Race is an ITRA (International Trail Running Association) Nation League Race and a qualifying race for the UTMB (Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc).

This year's event promises an ethereal trail running course that runs along Untangodo, a ridge at an elevation of 1,100 meters leading to the summit of Baekunsan Mountain (1,426m) and through the country's largest wildflower fields, offering breathtaking views of the Baekdu Daegan mountain range, akin to running in the sky.

The competition is designed to cater to all levels and preferences, featuring three courses: 12K, 42K, and 20K. Completing the 42K course will earn runners 2 ITRA points and UTMB Index points, while finishing the 20K course will also yield UTMB Index points. The 12K course is set to start on Saturday afternoon, with the 42K and 20K courses scheduled for Sunday morning.

Previously held over a one-night, two-day period, the event has been extended to two nights and three days to allow more people to enjoy the sport.
