Stüssy x Nike Surfwear Capsule Collection
collection that connects land and sea
This summer, Stüssy unveiled a surfwear collection with Nike alongside the launch of their swimwear lineup suitable for water activities.
The collection was first introduced in a short video shot by Morgan Maassen and Charlie McHarg, featuring surfer Sarah Taylor riding the waves on a co-branded surfboard. The cream-colored surfboard in the video features Stüssy and Nike’s Swoosh logos, a central purple line, and black fins.
Additionally, the lookbook for the collection, shot by Liam MacRae at the beach, includes casual silhouettes of UV-protective T-shirts, fleece loungewear, and breathable linen outerwear.
The collaboration also revisits the sneaker LD-1000, based on a Nike running shoe silhouette first released in 1977. It features the iconic waffle sole, an embroidered split Swoosh logo, and a heel tab with Stüssy lettering adding detail. The tongue tab is notably marked with lettering in Shawn Stüssy's handwriting. The colorways are ‘Action Green’ and ‘Phantom.’
The surfwear capsule, including the sneakers, is set to be released on Stüssy’s official website on July 12th, and will be available in Asia, including Korea, at 10 AM on Saturday, July 13th.
